Brian Kiely is a qualified Solicitor (Long Vacation 1980) who has worked in private practice over the past 30+ years. Since qualification Brian Kiely has specialised in the area of Commercial Law and Commercial Property. Following qualification and having gained experience in both in Mullingar and Limerick Brian Kiely joined the practice of Poe Kiely Hogan in April 1982. During that period he developed a large and diverse commercial practice to include commercial property, commercial development, acquisition of companies and businesses and has developed a speciality in the area of windfarms.
On the retirement of the previous Managing Partner Brian Kiely was elected Managing Partner of Poe Kiely Hogan in 2001 and has acted as Managing Partner since then. During that period many innovations in the practice have been developed to include the creation of specialist departments, the development of a significant I.T. resource, the development of areas of speciality and the specialisation of practitioners in the practice in particular fields of work.
In recent years Brian Kiely and the commercial department at Poe Kiely Hogan Lanigan have built up a speciality and expertise in relation to the development and construction of windfarms. This has resulted in the firm acting on behalf of developers in relation to a number of windfarms throughout Ireland. The firm continues to develop this area of its practice and is currently acting in relation to a substantial number of windfarms throughout Ireland all of which are in the course of development and/or construction.
